Aviation Photographer in Pietermaritzburg
Mason Stretch lives and shoots in Pietermaritzburg. Most of his flying-side work starts at Pietermaritzburg Airport (FAPM), a short drive from home, which means early light, short notice and midweek slots are all practical here in a way they are not for a photographer travelling in.
Local work covers aircraft on the ramp and in the air, club and fly-in days, and event coverage for operators and owners based in and around the city.
Aircraft, events and everything in between
Aircraft photography
Portraits of individual aircraft: static on the ramp, taxiing, or airborne with a chase arrangement. Used for listings, sponsors and prints.
Fly-ins and club days
Arrivals, people and detail through the day, edited and delivered as a set the club can actually use afterwards.
Event and general coverage
Not everything in Pietermaritzburg is aviation. Motorsport, wildlife, portraits and commercial shoots are covered from the same base.

Beyond the city
Pietermaritzburg is the base, not the limit. Durban, Howick, Hilton and the rest of the province are within normal travel, and national assignments are taken on request.
